Running through the pandemic

2020 for me was very much a roller-coaster ride! Converting my garage into a home office whilst home schooling two children and setting up as a freelance designer was a juggling act to say the least… however something that really helped me keep my mind focused throughout this year has been running. With the help of some friendly competition on a WhatsApp group with friends and Strava, I managed to go from beginner in April, to running a solo marathon in November and totalling over 1,100km in 2020. I am very lucky to live in the Warwickshire countryside with access to quiet lanes, footpaths and canals - perfect running country!

At times in 2020, there have been big decisions to make and bigger than usual challenges to overcome; getting outside in the fresh air daily and having some camaraderie (albeit online) has really helped me to approach design projects and decision making with a clear mind.

2021 is looking like another challenging year but with light at the end of the tunnel - one thing is for sure, I’ll be running into it head on. 🏃🏃🏃
